Commission
the First.
First off,
welcome to anybody that's visiting us after Anime Boston! Once it again
it was super cool to meet so many of you!
Anyways.
So
my buddy Arthur came to Anime Boston again this year and he desperately
needed more insanity, so I made him some as quick as I could. He was
also kind enough to give me a copy of his mind-blowing children's book
about a dog with no legs. These things happen in life, and I am glad of
it. But I digress, let's do a con breakdown. I only did three
commisions this year, so I'll rock these on Wednesdays til they're
gone, ok? I might have to touch em up a bit, since I only took pics
with my phone, but whatevs, we'll cross the bridge when it's
bridge-crossin' time.
So me n Randy got to Swarmee's house around 6:30
on Thursday
night, we ate some really awesome pizza and then we went into the city
to get our badges n whatnot. This went pretty smoothly. We looked
through the schedule of events which was remarkable for containing no times or places for events.
I find, being a graphic designer, that when
you are putting together a booklet telling people about times and
events, those are pretty much the primary information you should
include. Although it doesn't matter to me, since I don't go to the
events. Moot point? CHECK.
Then we went back to Swarmee's and we sat around
for a while and went to bed! SHOCKING!
FRIDAY:
We set up shop and saw some familiar faces. The guy next to me was a
crazy salesman who dressed vaguely like a pirate and hit on every girl
that walked past. This gets annoying, but it's only Friday. The
independent artists room we were in was twice as big as the first year,
so I went a wanderin'. Randy and I saw a girl that kinda looked like
Eric Stolz in Mask, but not quite so flamboyant.
That poor
girl. Swarmee sold lots of stuff! I sold a little stuff! (but people
really liked the new shirts, which I'll get a picture up of eventually).
The day was mostly unremarkable, but overall
good. We dropped off
our junk in my car, went to eat some goddamn fine sushi, and came back
to find my car somewhat less non-damaged than before. LAME. Then we
went back to Swarmee's where we very ill-advisedely stayed up until 4.
DAY ONE: not batting 1000. The tale continues Next Wednesday.

Swarmee Sez:
In our defence, that case of beer Friday night
was not
going to drink itself. Taking until 4am to do so, however, not our
finest plan.
I will add some bits to the narrative as the
updates
continue but for today I've gotta wrangle the real world first. A big
thanks to everyone that stopped by though, without you we'd just be
crazy drunks blathering into an RJ45 cable.
